Breakstem® Fasteners
Multi-Grip Rivet
Multi-grip, aluminium alloy breakstem fasteners with a long and reliable track record, used in a wide range of applications and industries.
Sealed Rivets
Fully sealed breakstem rivet with high corrosion resistance. Provides good hole fill and a vibration resistant joint.
Peel Rivets
Suitable for joining plastics, rubber, wood and laminates. Widely used in the assembly of caravans, trailers, plastic-framed windows – any products involving joining of soft or friable materials.
Colour Rivets
Colour rivets can be ordered in any of the RAL colour chart colours and required size.
Plastic Rivets
Plastic rivets securely lock components in place and prevent pull-outs. Fastens plastic to plastic, metal, fibreglass and other materials.
Bulbex®
Aluminum alloy breakstem fastener with a split tail formation providing a very large blind side bearing area against rear sheet.
KTR
One-piece, corrosion-resistant, aluminium alloy fastener, with water-resistant neoprene seal. Used for assembly of thin gauge sheet, board, plastics, composites and similar materials.
STRUCTURAL FASTENERS
Avlock high strength fasteners such as Monobolt, Hemlok and Interlocks, which are available in 6.4mm and 10mm diameter are placed with our heavy duty riveting tools.
Monobolt®
High strength, multi-grip breakstem fastener. Available in aluminium alloy, steel and stainless steel. Excellent hole fill characteristics and positively locked stem.
Hemlok
Hemlok is a structural breakstem fastener with exceptional shear and tensile strength. The Hemlok rivet features an internal lock ensuring the strongest vibration resistant joints and a large blind side bearing area against the rear sheet.
Maxlok®
Avdel’s versatile fastener with an extensive grip range provides considerable scope and flexibility for many assembly techniques. Ideal for applications where material thicknesses vary or production programmes are subject to change.
Avtainer ®
The Avdel Avtainer® fastener is a high strength steel fastener for joining composite materials to metal. With a high shear strength due to the internally locked stem the Avtainer rivet creates a vibration resistant joint whilst the under- head NeopreneTM seal creates a watertight joint.
Avbolt ®
The Avbolt® heavy duty fastener is a structural blind fastener with high strength, and tamper resistance. Designed for use in heavy-duty fastening applications such as construction, container, railway, mining and bridge building.
Avdelok®
- The Avdelok® lockbolt is a high strength, vibration resistant lockbolt with high, controlled clamp.
- Quick to install and easy to inspect for tampering, making this the ideal rivet for heavy engineering applications.
SPECIAL FASTENERS
Solid Rivets & Semi-Tubular Rivets
- A solid rivet has a manufactured head on one end and a solid shank on the other end. The shank of the rivet can be produced with a straight cut-off or a chamfered cut-off end. A die point can be manufactured into the shank end to aid alignment during assembly. Common head styles are oval, truss, round, button, universal, pan, countersunk and flat.
- Solid rivets are the strongest rivets used in fastened joints. Secondary heat treatment (anneal) to the rivet can make the rivet more ductile prior to clinching in certain applications.
- Rivets can be hardened for some applications to improve strength and durability. Rivet plating and coating options are selected dependent on the application.
Rivnuts / Blind Rivet Nuts
- Rivnuts are versatile, threaded inserts that can be easily placed with a hand or pneumatic tool. Rivnuts are available in steel and stainless steel. Sizes from M3 to M12.
- Different head forms are available such as large flange, thin sheet, countersunk and flathead.
- Rivnuts come in round, hex, or square shape. Recently a bulb rivnut has become available for soft materials such as rubber, fibreglass or plastic.
- Rivet studs are an ideal alternative to weld studs or clinch studs. It is a round, splined body with a stud which accepts nuts from M4 to M12. Available in steel and stainless steel.
